Jethro and Hedge performing live in the studio on Jo Phillips' The Morning Show on BBC Somerset Sound. Link to Bands We Have Played With

  • The Glambusters - 70s glam rock band; Seth's old band. These guys also gave us our 'big break' with a support slot at the Weston Arms in Bath which was our first ever gig in 2005.
  • Tim Pitman and Helena who both did their bit at a charity fundraiser for Happy Landings Animl Shelter in 2008.
  • Half Man Half Biscuit - favourites of Seth and Jethro; we wangled a support slot at a rare HMHB gig at the Cheese & Grain in Frome in 2007.
  • Finnian McGurk - awesome Celtic rock sprinkled with humour. Supported us (!) at High Ham, but if you are visiting Weymouth, check him out on his home turf.
  • Ross Kirk - solo singer-guitarist whose set runs like a live Radio 2 show. Supported us at Canal Inn Beer Festival in Wrantage in 2008.
  • Jive Pony provided the balance of the entertainment at a private party we did in Wells; amazing stuff too!
  • Ooh La La's who more than made up for the long trip down to the Brighton Raceday West Cider Festival in 2008!
  • Slim Pickins: 'star of stage, screen and blue movies!' - or so he asked to be introduced as, when he supported us at Clevedon Conservative Club. A very funny man - and quite a talented musician too.
  • The Soul Destroyers - a HUGE soul band from Bristol: fourteen people, lots of action, lots of fun to a soundtrack of those great classic soul tunes. They headlined the evening session first time we played at Sherston Boules Festival in 2006.
  • Ginger Hitlas - a great fun band who supported us (or did we support them?) at Animal Farm Adventure Park in August at 2007. Hedge enjoyed them so much that he joined the band...for a few songs anyway!
  • The River Brew - headlined at the Burtle Harvest Home gig 2008.
  • Bathampton Morris Men - supported us at the Frome Street Fayre 2006. Their website doesn't seem to be working at the moment though...
  • Oh, and Tommy Banner, who is always there for our performances at the Bridgwater Carnival, and Pete Budd, who helped out at the Keep Cadbury's in Keynsham march and rally in 2007 (they closed it down anyway!)

We have played with other bands, but these are the ones we have web addresses for. If we have missed anyone, drop us an email

The Mangledwurzels on stage at the Watchett Festival (23 Aug 2008) Some Of Our Best Friends

  • Carved Images - Carve is a freelance photographer who has taken some neat shots of the band.
  • - Promoters of cider festivals across the UK. We have played to thounsands of cider drinkers at their events in Bath, Bristol, Norwich, Brighton and Frome with more to come...
  • Wellow Trekking Centre - Frank and Jude also allowed us to rampage across their farm taking photos of the band. Thanks guys!
  • Valley View Farm, Batcombe - Apple grower and cider maker Bryan Mead not only allowed us to be photographed in the farm, he insisted that we sample the fruits of his...well...fruits! Proper stuff!
